Asthma outreach
Children's Community Health Plan wants to help you and your family stay healthy. Asthma is the most common chronic disease for children. It is one of the leading causes that keep children and parents home from school and work each year.
If you or your child has asthma, Children's Community Health Plan can help. With the help of Fight Asthma Milwaukee (FAM) Allies, we provide Catch Your Breath - Asthma Survival Skills for Parents and Children.
This free class is held six times each year and will teach you and your child:
-
How asthma affects the lungs.
-
How to recognize early warning signs and prevent emergencies.
-
How to manage indoor and outdoor triggers.
-
How asthma medications work.
-
The importance of controller medications.
-
How to work with school and health personnel.
