Do you need help to quit smoking?

First Breath/Baby and Me

Quitting smoking is a very important issue and can make a big difference for your baby. Smoking during Quit smoking with help from Children's Community Health Plan.pregnancy can lead to:

  • Miscarriage or stillbirth.
  • Babies born too early or too small.
  • Sudden Infant Death Syndrome (SIDS).
  • Respiratory illness, ear infections and asthma.
  • Future behavior problems and problems in school.

We know that you want your newborn to be healthy, so Children's Community Health Plan wants to help you quit smoking and help reduce the risk of these serious conditions.

Children's Community Health Plan partners with the Wisconsin Women's Health Foundation to offer First Breath, a program that helps pregnant women in Wisconsin quit smoking. The program will give you the tools to quit smoking successfully.

Quitline

Children's Community Health Plan wants to help you and your family be healthy. Smoking and second-hand smoke can be harmful to you and your family. We are here to give you options to help you quit.

The Quitline can help you learn more about how to quit. Call Quitline number at (800) 784-8669 or visit their website to find out how:

  • Insurance will pay for medicine to help you quit smoking.
  • To talk to your doctor to find the best medicine when you are ready to quit. 

Quitting smoking is hard to do. We want to support you in your efforts to quit. The Quitline is a good place to start.
